25 Random Things About Me

This is the newest thing everyone is posting on Face book I am posting mine on face book and recycling it here because its been awhile since I have posted a blog. Enjoy!

25 random things about me
1. I’m kind of a stalker; I told one of my bff’s when I was 14 that I was going to marry Colby someday. 7 years after that we started dating and 2 years after that we got married.
2. I am usually a pretty patient person (see #1 waiting 9 years to marry the love of my life)
3. I love my job so much that I have been putting off finishing college and getting a “real” job.
4. There are days when I hate my job and wonder why I don’t finish school. Luckily the good days outnumber the bad.
5. I am scared to death of change but secretly wish I could have the courage to take more risks.
6. There are probably at least 15 bibles in my house and a whole library of religious studies books.
7. I love playing wii fit, but I hate that my mii looks like a fatty.
8. At first I told Colby that he was crazy & there was no difference in picture quality between standard def and HD. Now it drives me nuts to watch anything that’s not HD.
9. I have a decent singing voice but I only sing in crowds when I think people can’t hear me. I like to sing on Rockband when I am home alone.
10. My favorite Disney movie is Sleeping Beauty.
11. I love watching The Office.
12. I sell Pampered Chef and could spend all day watching the Food Network.
13. I love to cook, but hate doing dishes. I would rather scrub toilets than do dishes.
14. I am obsessed with watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 and 18 Kids and Counting (The Duggars) it amazes me that those parents don’t go crazy.
15. I have a Barbie collection.
16. I love playing board games.
17. I like low maintenance pets we have a Corn Snake and Russian Tortoise.
18. I am really uncomfortable around large dogs. The jumping up on me freaks me out.
19. I mostly listen to Christian Music. I use to listen to country but Colby hates it & I hate his music so in the car we only listen to Christian because its something we both can agree on.
20. I love my in laws like they are my own parents. We eat dinner with them, both sets of Colby’s grandparents and all of his siblings every Saturday night and I miss them if I don’t get to see them every week.
21. I love that my closest bff’s have crazy busy lives like I do and that they understand when we can only see each other every couple of months. The best part is that when we hang out we pick up right where we left off like no time has passed.
22. I talk to my mom on the phone almost every day. (Sometimes more than once a day)
23. I love watching Sesame Street even though I’m almost 25 and don’t have any kids. The Count and Elmo are my favorites.
24. I was in ROTC for 4 years in high school and have a lot of friends in the military that live all over the world.
25. I love to read, and if I am really into a book I unintentionally ignore people for hours. It’s like I’m in my own world. I don’t notice anything going on around me.

Thanksgiving !

We are blessed to have My Uncle John, Aunt Sharon, & Cousin Amber from Anchorage, Alaska visiting us for Thanksgiving. I took the week off work to spend with them and to kinda of catch up on stuff at home. Monday I started and finished a project that I have been putting off for close to a year and a half. A family friend of ours gave us a handmade photo album with lots of frills and lace all hand stitched on. I have been meaning to put all of our wedding/ wedding shower cards in them so I finally did it. It was nice getting a chance to look at them again and read notes from old friends. I cut the cards so that the front and note from the inside could be seen. Check out the pics below.

Complete list of free stuff!!!

Due to possible conflict with election laws in various states, most are not requiring proof of voting. The free offers:

•Coffee. Starbucks expects to hand out "hundreds of thousands" of free 12-ounce drip coffees (valued at about $1.75 each), says spokeswoman Jenny McCabe. "If everyone who votes comes in for a free cup of coffee, we'll have some lines," she says.

•Doughnuts. Some 85 of Krispy Kreme's 231 locations in the U.S. will hand out star-shaped, red-white-and-blue sprinkled doughnuts "while supplies last," says spokesperson Dana Hughens. The chain will give out about 200,000 doughnuts valued at 99 cents each. "People are definitely talking about the brand as a result of this," she says.

•Ice cream. Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. in each time zone, Ben & Jerry's ice cream shops will hand out single-scoop ice cream cones (a $3.40 value). "What better way to encourage people to be politically active than to give away free ice cream?" asks spokeswoman Liz Brenna.

•Sandwiches. In a local market promotion, several hundred of the nation's 1,400 Chick-fil-A stores will hand out $2.70 chicken sandwiches to adults who show proof that they voted, says spokesman Jerry Johnston.

•Phone calls. Credo Mobile, a wireless company that donates money to progressive causes for calls its customers make, will offer free outbound calls to current customers during polling hours in their states. The cost could be about $250,000, says spokeswoman Becky Bond.

•Discount haircuts. Then, there's Cristophe Schatteman, a top hair stylist known for giving former president Bill Clinton a $200 haircut on Air Force One. His salons in Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Orange County, Calif., will offer all services — including haircuts — at half price today. A $500 haircut from Cristophe will go for $250.

Free Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream

Pumpkins

Some of you may know that I have a secret love for Mr. Potato Head. When I found these Mr. Potato Head Pumpkin Kits I had to have them. I got the Princess and the Pirate, they had others but i figured two was enough and liked these the best. Sadly I can't find the Princess' wand I must have dropped it somewhere between church where I put them together (during pumpkin game night at youth) and home.
